Similar to the SAT, the ACT is an exam used by colleges and universities across the United States to determine students’ readiness for college and assist in admission decisions.

Far past just filling out an application, our college advisors assist you and your child on the path to college. This includes being involved from the initial steps of developing a resume of extracurricular activities, summer plans, and course selection, to researching colleges, preparing your child for college visits, working on college essays, and assisting in making the final college choice.
The Common App is a tool used to send your applications into colleges. It works as a platform to collect your application materials, including your transcript, activities, standardized test scores, and Common App personal essay. You can also submit college-specific writing supplements with the Common App.
The Independent School Entrance Examination is an another exam intended to determine a student’s candidacy for enrollment in independent middle and high schools. It is an alternative to the SSAT.
The PSAT, or Preliminary SAT, is an exam intended to introduce 10th and 11th grade students to the material covered by the SAT and identify recipients of the National Merit Scholarship.
The SAT is an exam administered by the College Board used by colleges and universities throughout the United States to compare and identify students for admission.
The SAT Subject Tests were discontinued in January 2021.
The Specialized High Schools Admissions Test is an exam offered to 8th and 9th graders to determine eligibility for entrance into eight of the nine specialized high schools throughout New York City. Admissions decisions are based solely on the results of this exam.
The Secondary School Admission Test is an exam intended to determine a student’s candidacy for enrollment in independent middle and high schools and boarding schools. It is an alternative to the ISEE.
